But modern browsers can do so much more than people think. WebAssembly runs code almost as fast as native apps. Web Workers let us use multiple cores. There's no technical reason we can't build desktop quality tools that run entirely in your browser.

So that's what we did. We built tools that process files faster than many desktop apps, work completely offline, and never send your data anywhere. Not a single byte leaves your computer.
